Old Economy Inn, bed and breakfast, historic district, Ambridge, Pennsylvania, Harmonists, oldeconomyinn
The Old Economy Inn features two separate guest suites in a lovingly restored 1828 Harmonist's home. The red brick Church Street house originally served as the residence of the potter for Old Economy Village, a communal society founded two centuries ago by an immigrant German religious sect.
Today's guests are cordially invited to savor the best of both worlds: the simple charms of early 19th Century architecture upgraded with the best modern amenities.
In transforming the potter's house into an inn, we've emphasized comfort, privacy, and value for our guests. To be a guest in either suite, upstairs or down, is like staying in the homey apartment of a friend. Each suite features:
- * its own individually controlled heating and central A/C system;
- * cable TV, Internet access, assorted DVDs, and free calls anywhere in the lower 48;
- * an individual kitchen stocked with coffee, tea, milk, orange juice and pantry snacks;
- * a complimentary breakfast delivered to your door by 8 a.m.;
